DAGYBA is currently recruiting non-parent coaches for our 2019-2020 7th and 8th grade girls teams.
If you are interested in coaching this season (or know of anyone who is), please email DAGYBA Commissioner Heidi Hoffman and provide any relevant background and/or coaching experience.
Join the challenge - practice your shooting this off-season and make 5000 shots by November 1. Girls who complete this challenge will receive a Makers Club T-Shirt, recognition at DeForest High School Varsity Youth Night, and (most importantly) develop as a basketball player! This program is open to girls entering 1st through 8th grade in the 2019/2020 school year.
See the attached flyer for more details.
Our next board meeting is Monday, September 16th at 6:30 pm at the Rodeside Grill in Windsor.
Edge Fitness of Windsor is offering our basketball athletes a rate of $69/month for Sports Performance training. Offer includes up to 3 workouts per week (up to 12 workouts per month). If you are interested, please contact Doug Mueller at (608)842-2210.
The DeForest Area Girls Youth Basketball Association (DAGYBA) was established in 2007 in efforts to promote the importance and value of sportsmanship, hard work, and dedication; all while having fun learning the game of basketball. DAGYBA is a non-profit organization that sponsors the 3rd grade through 8th grade girls’ basketball program in the DeForest Area School District. New players are always welcome!
